Chris joined the Thermeon team in 2017 as Operations Director and took the role of Managing director the following year. With 30 years experience in delivering IT solutions and strategy, largely within the Travel & Tourism sector, Chris brings a wealth of technology experience to Thermeon. His two main focuses are:
Simon is based in the UK and has over 30 years’ experience of the vehicle rental industry, including time spent in the Middle East. Starting in a family business, Simon has worked in small and large independents as well as global franchise names, he has helped drive process, systems and efficiency to enable rental teams keep their heads up talking to customers, not looking down reading paper or screens. He may now be a desk jockey but he has, in his time, cleaned and rented his fair share of cars and vans.
With experience in both operations & finance, Simon leads the commercial team, developing new business and markets as well as working with existing clients to solve the challenges the rental industry throws at them and helping to maximise the benefits cars+ can bring.
When Simon is not in the Office or at home with family, you are most likely to find him on a Ski Slope indulging his lifelong passion of trying to slide down a mountain, on planks of composite material, without falling over. He has now inflicted this on others by becoming a trustee of spensol.org a charity which annually takes a group of children with special needs, skiing in the Maritime Alps, a trip on which they teach him more than he could ever show them.
Gareth has been with Thermeon since 1999 and is responsible for technical strategy across the organisation. He has worked with passion to innovate new products and services and since his appointment as Technical Director of Europe in 2007; focusing on building the technical department centring around motivation and culture. Gareth continues to drive products and architecture, and still enjoys creating elegant solutions to deliver tangible benefits.
Sales Director - Asia Pacific
Russell joined Thermeon in 2002 and brought a wealth of relevant knowledge to the company. He started his career in the City of London supplying Data Solutions to the banking industry before moving to B2B Automotive Sales. After immigrating to New Zealand in 1998 he spent then nearly 6 years in the rental industry as head of IT for a major operator.
Over the years Russell has held numerous roles within Thermeon including support, training, sales and management roles. He is currently responsible for business development and all Commercial decisions in the Asia Pacific Region.
Global Customer Support Manager
Rachel leads Thermeon’s customer support team, based in the UK, US and Australia. She is focussed on providing a high level of responsiveness and quality support, in line with agreed SLAs and customer expectations.
Rachel began working in IT Service Management over 15 years ago, firstly in the public sector, before moving to the London Insurance Market, and most recently for a Cisco Gold partner. Her experience is with leading global teams and supporting customers'' business critical services in line with industry best practices.
Manager of US Operations
Doug has been with Thermeon since 1984 when the company just had five clients. As the company’s first customer support employee, Doug utilised his skills in Adult Education to create a vital link between clients and programmers; allowing a smooth flow of communication throughout the support and development process.
Doug’s versatile role at Thermeon has also seen him act as lead trainer, documentation writer, relationship manager for major US clients and Product Manager. Doug now manages all of our operations in the US.
IT Operations Manager
Geoff leads the global IT Operations team, working closely with the Customer Support and Development departments who, together, work hard delivering on new projects and ensuring well maintained and stable platforms for Thermeon and customers alike.
Geoff joined Thermeon in 2018 as IT Operations Manager. After more than two decades in IT related management roles, Geoff brings with him a wide range of technical expertise of infrastructure and software development, along with extensive experience in successful project and programme delivery.
Business Development Manager EMEA
Matilda joined Thermeon in 2017 as the Business Development Manager for EMEA; responsible for Client Relationships and Business Development. With over 20 years’ experience in the industry, she started her career in car rental at the front counter and progressed onto system support, training, system design, implementations, system enhancement to vendor management.
Matilda has gained extensive experience through global franchises implementations and front counter systems and specialises in car rental processes, procedures and systems design. She spent over 15 years as Car rental system manager with Europcar Ireland where her key responsibilities included aligning the system processes to the business processes with a focus on design and implementation of rental systems developments to improve business operations.
Online Distribution Manager
Naomi first joined Thermeon in 2009 as part of our dedicated support team. For the last 5 years, she has devoted the majority of her time developing and enhancing relationships with our online partners and Brokers. In 2019 she joined the Thermeon management team with a focus of maximising these important reservation channels on behalf of our ever-expanding client base and online partner network.
Naomi brings a wealth of experience within the online distribution sector. Using her extensive and in-depth knowledge of Thermeons APIs, Broker Applications, the Car Rental industry and contacts within the OTA and Broker sectors, she can maximise any Reservation channel opportunity for you.
